Petersham Curling Club's Olympic Events

Seen curling on tv?

Interested on seeing what it's all about for yourself?

Ever wanted to try an Olympic Sport that looks so easy anyone can do it?

Well here's your chance! The Petersham Curling Club has planned mutliple events during the Olympics to open its doors to the public and give everyone a chance to see what "chess on ice" is all about.

Full schedule and results of curling from Sochi can be found here.

Thanks to everyone that joined us on Saturday February 8th for our Spectator Open House. We hope to see many of you out on the ice on either of our Open Houses.

To everyone that attended our Try It! Open House on Sunday February 16th. We hope you had a great time! If you are interested in joining PCC, here is the Membership Application

On Thursday February 20th the club hosts our first Open House of the 2014 Olympics. From 6-9pm guests will have the opportunity to learn about curling, from its history, to the basics of how to play. After watching from the comfort of our warm room, guests will have a chance to step out onto the ice and get hands on with the game. You'll learn how to deliver a stone, how and why we sweep, and you'll even get a chance to throw a stone or two yourself. Members of the club will be present to greet and talk with all of our guests.

We will also be offering multiple Learn to Curl sessions after the Olympics for those interested in getting more instruction in curling. Dates, times, and directions for registration will be available at the Open Houses.

You can download a poster of our Open House dates or a flyer with all the details you need to know about these events.
